Chances are that you know a teacher is busy getting ready for school. We start today here in Colorado.
If you are a teacher, you are probably looking are looking for inspiration! If you’re a parent, you’re hoping your child’s teacher is inspired for the school year!
Being a teacher is a challenge. On its best days, it’s rewarding. You have the ability to mould a student’s mind. You can instill in the child a love for learning. You can teach a child to keep an open mind and to keep questioning. You help to promote confidence and awaken dreams.
On a bad day, anger and worry, creep through a door you didn’t know you’d left open. The kids act up on days before a storm is coming in or during a full moon and turn wild. But often it’s because of what you’ve brought to school, worries, anger, lack of control over how you want your life to be that causes challenges.
A teacher needs to be calm, listening to an inner voice, following an innate wisdom and handing out pearls of wisdom to parents, a “Zen Teacher”. On those bad days your ego takes over. It is demanding, questioning motives and undermining your confidence. Both sides of you have a huge effect on your classroom.
Here is a little inspiration to start off your year! Good luck to parents, children and teachers alike!!
