The Zen Mama’s Cyber Monday…. My Recommendations for Holiday Reading!

Paradise:libraryI love to give books to friends and family for the holidays.

It’s because I love to read so much! For me it’s like a form of meditation, clearing my head. You can learn, laugh and even find yourself in a book. Each one is like a mirror showing you a piece of your soul. So many books have affected and changed me.

Over the years I’ve come across some great books! Here are just a few I’d love to pass on the recommendations (click on the book cover or link to lead you to Amazon or the book):

  1. Hi Betsy,

What a fantastic list! I’m familiar with each one of them. They’ve all shaped who I am today. Fran’s book knocks it out of the park. I guess I can relate because I spent my life on a farm with dirt under my fingernails;)

  3. Thanks for this list Betsy! Books area ALWAYS on my Christmas list! It’s great to have a new book – or five – to curl up with when the winter storms come!

    Lori,
I’m madly in love with books and still like books first over ebooks. Just read a great one during our recent arctic blast!
    Thanks for stopping by!!

Oh, I love that quote about paradise being a library! Just imagine! Sitting together, feet up, enjoy mugs of heavenly coffee and reading our day away! Bliss! Thanks Betsy – quite an impressive list you have here!

Not surprised you love books, too! I spent Friday afternoon doing just that during our recent freeze, coffee included. It was divine!

Super compilation Betsy. Books have been the anchors in my life since I could read. To lose myself in a book was always such a delight. I haven’t read all of the ones on your list, but I’m adding them to mine right now. The power of words is astonishing and I truly understand paradise being a library, I really do.

Hi Betsy, thanks a lot for all those great book recommendations. Just a shame that I have so little time for reading, but I think I will definitely check out “Simplify Your Life” by Elaine St. James.

    Robert,
I know what you mean about the time restraint! Simply Your Life is perfect because it’s short chapters. It’s what I like to call a bathroom book! :) It changed my life so I’ll know you’ll like it too!

Thanks so much for the mention. Although I’ve read several of the books that you’ve mentioned, there are others listed that have whet my appetite. Frn
